Newport Beach, CA: Today Verismic Software, a Sparxent
Company, focused on developing solutions to extend systems
management and service desk capabilities, became an Ally of the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR Low Carbon IT
Campaign. Verismic has a commitment to educate its customers about
the benefits of power management on an organization's computers
and monitors. Verismics's participation will help reduce the
growing demand for electricity, save organizations money and help
fight global warming.
If all office computers and monitors in the U.S. were a part of a
power management program, the country could save more than 44
billion kWh or $4 billion worth of electricity and avoid the
greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those of about 5 million
cars each year.
"We are proud to be part of the effort to reduce the carbon
footprint of IT operations," said Mark McGinn, Managing Director
of Verismic "The efficient use of computers and monitors is not
just good for our customers bottom line, it's good for the
environment."
"EPA is pleased to recognize Verismic as an Ally in the ENERGY
STAR Low Carbon IT Campaign," said ENERGY STAR Program Manager
Steve Ryan. "Together, we can make a substantial difference in the
fight against global warming. ENERGY STAR power management tools
offer a cost-effective way to save energy, money, and reduce
greenhouse gas emissions."
Verismic Power Manager is a fast and easy way to deliver a
solution that offers:
- Immediate and genuine ROI for Green IT initiatives.

management policies in place.
- Comprehensive reporting-displays the percentage of power
saved, the kilowatt hours saved, and the dollars saved. You can
estimate power savings before deploying a policy, easily
document power savings, and provide accurate reports to
management.
- Granular policy control and implementation that saves power
while matching your business needs
With Verismic Power Manager you can monitor your power
consumption, reduce your carbon emissions and prove that Green IT
is a cost saver. Power Manager delivers quantifiable hard cost

greenhouse gas emissions through increased energy efficiency.
Today, ENERGY STAR offers businesses and consumers
energy-efficient solutions to save energy, money and help protect
the environment for future generations. More than 12,000

activate power management features on your monitors and computers
to save energy and reduce your carbon footprint. Organizations can
apply to join the Low Carbon IT Campaign once they can demonstrate
that they have a power management policy in place. These
applications are then reviewed and compliant organizations are
invited to join the campaign. You can increase energy savings
further by purchasing ENERGY STAR qualified computers and
